Vickery Development, INC. (VDI) began over forty years ago with the purchase of a single rental home in Hawaii. After serving the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, Philip Cascavilla was stationed in Hawaii where he married and had his son, Asa. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Philip launched his career in real estate with the purchase of a single-family rental home. That one rental home eventually grew to include multi-family apartment homes on many of the Hawaiian Islands. Over time, Philip’s real estate ventures evolved to include selling, managing and investing.
During the 1980s, Philip’s business endeavors steered him to a consulting engagement in the Vickery area of Dallas, Texas. Philip was recruited to improve the operations and rehab four large apartment communities for various investors. Upon completion of that project, he began a partnership in Dallas and eventually relocated to Texas full time. Over time, his multi-family management business grew to include apartment communities in downtown Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth.
In 1995, his son Asa Cascavilla joined the family business full time. After years of managing properties for other investors, Philip and Asa partnered together to purchase their own apartment communities. More than twenty years later, the father-son team now own and manage over thirty properties focused in the affordable multi-family market throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
